Unless Britney Spears secretly worships satan, it looks like her Twitter account (@BritneySpears) has been hijacked by hackers with hijinks in mind.
About one hour ago, two new tweets appeared in the Britney Spears stream. In addition, her profile picture and Twitter background were altered. First, here are the tweets:
'I give myself to Lucifer every day for it to arrive as quickly as possible. Glory to Satan!'
'i hope that the new world order will arrive as soon as possible! -Britney'
And here is an image of her Twitter account as it now looks, complete with Illuminati wallpaper (this was not the wallpaper she had an hour ago):

It's tough to tell what exactly happened. We think that, most likely, her account was hacked by someone and taken over. However, another possibility is that someone that already has access to the account decided to hijack it for some reason.
This is not the first time her account has been compromised. As one of the world's most recognized celebs (and a top 10 Twitter user), she's always going to be a target, which means it's even more imperative for the people that manage Spears' account to work with Twitter to improve her account's security. We've contacted Twitter about the situation and will update you when we learn more, including whether other celebrity accounts were affected.

Britney Spears has spoken out on social media following the recent New York Times documentary Framing Britney Spears, probably as directly she can given the current legal battle over the conservatorship of her estate.
